Arsenal arrives in Blüdhaven to meet up with his old friend Nightwing, finding him in battle with a group of thugs. He then tells Nightwing about KGBeast who has captured Cheshire and is preparing to sell her to Quraci survivors for a large amount of money, and he's come to ask Dick for Batman's help but remains too intimidated to ask him himself. Dick then sets up a meeting in Gotham between Roy and Batman where the two meet on a roof with Roy begging for help with Batman questioning his desire to save her until he brings up that she is the mother of his child. He then turns around to find Batman gone and believing him to have ditched him only for Batman to come back and ask if he is comics.

Batman then has Arsenal break into a building to steal plans for an airfield which he does until being caught by Kostmayer who orders him placed in cuffs as his relationship with Cheshire could jeopardize everything. However, Roy manages to escape from Checkmate, meeting back up with Batman while his daughter's babysitter is being held at gunpoint. Batman and Arsenal then arrive with Batman battling KGBeast, as Arsenal attempts to sneak in only be hit by a crane knocked unconscious and begin falling from a building being forced to be saved by Batman. They then arrive at the airfield where the exchange is taking place, where they both come to the realization that the woman is not Cheshire and is a corpse planned to be used to make them believe she and Beast are dead. They then enter into the sewer where there put in chamber with gas filling, which they get out by firing a gun blowing out an exit through the point the gas is entering.

They then continue through the sewer to find Cheshire and KGBeast, before Roy loses his temper going off on Batman who sees through that the issue is how much Roy misses Oliver. The sewer is then set to self-destruct forcing the two out, barely escaping. They then leave for Zurich where Roy finds Cheshire through her bank, Batman then battles Cheshire while KGBeast battles with Arsenal. Roy manages to defeat KGBeast with a taser and water as Cheshire gives up following Nightwing rescuing her daughter and the Santoses.
